Extinction

In this topic you will learn how habitats can vary and how animals and plants are adapted to live in them. You will find out how plants and animals interact and depend on each other making food webs.

You will then expore variation in the living kingdoms both within and between species. You will learn how to classify living things and consider why some species become extinct.

What am I learning in this unit?

  • Classification of living things

  • Vertebrate classification

  • Using keys for classification

  • Behaviour for survival

  • Learned and instinctive behaviour

  • Reasons for extinction

  • Animal conservation

  • Food chains and food webs
